Teriyaki-Style Vegetables with Dumplings

Busy day? No problem! This Easy Teriyaki-Style Veggies with Dumplings is the perfect quick and flavorful dinner—light, satisfying, and ready in minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pack of SUMM! Chicken Shiitake Dumplings
  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 1/2 napa cabbage
  • 1 clove of garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil – (1 for sauce and 1 for pan frying)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch to 1/3 cup water – for cornstarch slurry

Directions

  1. In a bowl combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and mirin and stir.
  2. Set the stove on high. Put 1 tablespoon cooking oil, Gyozas and 1/3 cup of water into a frying pan with Gyozas flat side down.
  3. Cover pan with lid. Reduce heat to medium once water starts boiling.
  4. Cook for 5 to 5 1/2 minutes until water completely evaporates and Gyoza bottoms are crispy.
  5. Heat a separate pan with sesame oil and add in vegetables.
  6. Stir fry for 3 minutes and add in the teriyaki sauce and mix.
  7. Add cornstarch slurry and cook on med-high for 2 more minutes to thicken.
  8. Serve veggies on a plate with the pan fried dumplings on top.
