Creamy Miso Pork and Shiitake Gyoza

This creamy miso sauce pairs perfectly with SUMM! delicious pork and shitake gyoza dumplings! A combo you never knew you needed. This is one you just have to try.

Ingredients:

  • 2 pkg SUMM! Pork and Shitake Gyoza Dumplings
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 shallot, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp miso paste, white or brown
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock or water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced nori as garnish

Directions:

  1. In a large pan, over medium high heat, add 1 Tbsp oil, all the gyoza and 3-4 tbsp of water. Cover and let steam and then fry until the bottom of the dumplings are browned. Reserve.
  2. Meanwhile, in another pan, heat the remaining olive oil and sear the mushrooms until nicely browned.
  3. Add the shallots, garlic and butter and stir to combine. Saute until shallots are softened.
  4. Stir in the miso paste, cream and stock.
  5. Let simmer for 1-2 minutes and season to taste. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit more stock to loosen.
  6. Finally, add the reserved gyoza to the sauce and gently toss. Garnish with sliced nori
  7. Enjoy!
